After retiring from her long and distinguished career as a kindergarten teacher, Chris works today helping computer users navigate in the Mac world. She can’t help it. Teaching is part of her DNA, and until now, she has always used this gift nobly and honorably.
That’s why I was shocked – yes, shocked – to find an email from her this week containing a video which could be titled “Pick Pocketing 101”. Apparently, my niece has decided it’s time I learn to pick a pocket or two.
Chris wrote: “Vegging out and watching Rachel Ray this morning, I saw these two on the show with their ‘hand dancing’ – a big YouTube sensation! They described it as the reverse of Irish Dancing and what Irish dancers do to practice routines.”
A likely story.
I have to tell you that Octo-woman got real excited watching the video, and now she wants to learn to do it. Unfortunately, Chris can refer to it all she wants to as “hand-dancing”, but that’s not what the Seattle police call it. Nice try, though.
